CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The Agroecological Prospect:
The Politics of Integrating Food and Farming with
Values and the Land
Agroecology links scientific inquiry, practical arts, and transformative social action to develop food systems that are fair and resilient. The conference program will highlight necessary changes to the design and management of our food systems so that we may adjust human systems to better function within the limits of natural systems, ensuring economic viability, food security, and the sovereignty of all people. The call highlights this topic, but is not limited to it.
Abstracts for papers and posters are due January 31, 2018. If a paper is to be part of a pre-arranged session, please note it in the abstract title. (Each session speaker must submit individually.) Authors will be notified by March 15, 2018 of acceptance. All presenters must be registered for the conference by May 1, 2018 to be included in the conference program.
The 2018 meeting will be hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems, with campus and community partners.
